EXTEND YOUR TOUR DAY 1: UK TO MAURITIUS Depart London on your scheduled overnight flight. DAY 2: MAURITIUS D Upon arrival, you will be met and transferred to your hotel for the remainder of the day at leisure. DAY 3: MAURITIUS TO ANTANANARIVO B/D In the late morning, transfer to the airport for your flight to Antananarivo. On arrival, you will be met by your representative and transferred to your hotel. DAY 4: ANTANANARIVO B/L/D Occupying a commanding hilltop position, Antananarivo, or ‘Tana’, as it is affectionately known, is an enchanting city, combining the echoes of its colonial past and whispers of its prospering future. Spend this morning on a sightseeing tour, before indulging in divine culinary traditions with lunch at a local restaurant. Later, enjoy an afternoon at leisure. DAY 5: ANTANANARIVO TO ANTSIRANANA B/L/D This morning, fly to Diego and transfer to the National Park of Amber Mountain for a leisurely wander along the park’s scenic trails where you’ll encounter a host of natural residents. In the afternoon continue to Antsiranana for an evening at leisure. DAY 6: ANTSIRANANA B/L/D In the morning, transfer to Ramena and bask in a truly tranquil paradise. Embark on a cruise upon the glistening waters of the Emerald Sea and sail towards a sheltered bay overlooking the Indian Ocean. Unwind upon the golden shores or discover an underwater kingdom as you snorkel in search of tropical fish. Later, savour a delectable feast of freshly caught fish, which is cooked before your eyes. DAY 7: ANTSIRANANA TO ANKARANA NATIONAL PARK B/L/D Following an early breakfast, drive to the Ankarana National Park. Accommodating a population of primates unrivalled in almost any forest worldwide. Stop off en route at local villages to experience the unique tribal traditions of the Antakarana people. DAY 8: ANKARANA NATIONAL PARK B/L/D Following breakfast, enjoy a full day exploring Ankarana National Park. During your tour, traverse walkways framed by a dramatic backdrop, peer into the bat’s grotto and take centre stage within the naturally carved rock amphitheatre, all whilst keeping an eye out for the park’s famed wildlife. DAY 9: ANKARANA NATIONAL PARK TO NOSY BE B/L/D After breakfast depart for the Millot Plantation in Ambanja, for a insight into a century of tradition and devotion to the world’s finest cocoa. Finally, take a boat trip to the island of Nosy Be and arrive at your hotel. DAY 10: NOSY BE B/L/D Today’s island-hopping adventure begins upon the idyllic island of Nosy Komba. Visit the island’s Lemur Park for a close encounter with the lemur families. Visit the craft market of Ampangorina before continuing to Nosy Tanikely, a protected marine reserve revered for its extraordinary biodiversity. DAY 11: NOSY BE B/L/D Embark on a traditional rowing boat through the mangrove swamp, before arriving at the Lokobe Special Reserve. Your guided tour of the forest gives you the best chance to observe the famed Madagascan wildlife. After lunch return to your hotel. DAY 12: NOSY BE B/L/D Today is at leisure to soak in the radiating sunshine upon the island’s idyllic beaches. DAY 13: NOSY BE TO ANTANANARIVO B/L/D This morning, catch a flight back to Antananarivo. This evening, enjoy a farewell meal in a local restaurant. DAY 14/15: ANTANANARIVO TO THE UK B This morning, transfer to the airport for your scheduled flight back to the UK, via Mauritius, or continue on to your chosen extension.
