DAY 14: SAIGON TO MEKONG CRUISE B/L/D Leaving Saigon, embark on a three-night cruise along the network of rivers in the Mekong Delta, journeying to Phnom Penh in Cambodia. First visit Can Tho, the largest town on the Delta, taking in the scenery and daily activities of the Mekong people. Continue to Cai Be for a guided walk to a rural village, and the chance to meet the locals. DAY 15: MEKONG CRUISE B/L/D Depart early in the morning with an excursion on long rowing sampan boats allowing you to meander through the small canals of Tan Phong islet. This afternoon, the boats moor at the charming colonial town of Sa Dec. Return to the vessel for a sunset cruise and dinner on board. DAY 16: MEKONG CRUISE B/L/D Arrive at Cao Lanh in the morning and after breakfast, disembark for a morning excursion to Tan Thuan Dong islet where you can enjoy a gentle cycle around the winding roads or simply explore the area by foot. As the boat manoeuvres through Cho Vam canal, you are invited to a sunset cocktail party on the top deck. DAY 17: MEKONG TO PHNOM PENH B/L/D After an early breakfast, transfer to Phnom Penh by speedboat for your tour of Cambodia’s capital. Visit the Royal Palace and marvel at the ornately gilded Khmer roofs, solid gold-encrusted Buddha and Silver Pagoda. Next, explore the National Museum that houses Khmer art from throughout the ages. DAY 18: PHNOM PENH TO SIEM REAP B/D This morning includes a guided tour of Tuol Sleng Prison Museum and the Killing Fields of Choeung Ek. Later this afternoon, continue by coach to Siem Reap. DAY 19: SIEM REAP B/L/D Watch the sun rise at the 12th century Angkor Wat temple complex. Next, visit Angkor Thom, starting at the Southern Gate, flanked by a row of 54 stone figures on each side, then visiting the Bayon and its beautifully crafted towers. From here, visit Baphoun, Phimeanakas and the Elephant Terrace. Lastly, see Ta Prohm, the perfect place to watch the sun set. End the day with dinner and an Apsara dance performance. DAY 20/21: SIEM REAP TO THE UK B Depart Siem Reap for your flight to the UK, via Hanoi or continue to your chosen extension.
