DAY 2: CHIANG MAI D On arrival, you will be transferred to your hotel before joining your group for a dinner at a local home. DAY 3: CHIANG MAI B/L/D This morning, journey to Wat Phra That Doi Suthep temple. Visit a jade factory before lunch and an afternoon at leisure. This evening, a Khantoke dinner offers multi-plate dining and a dance show. DAY 4: CHIANG MAI TO SUKHOTHAI B/L/D Depart Chiang Mai this morning, travelling first to Lampang to explore Wat Pongsanuk temple. Drive onward to Sukhothai, with the day at leisure. DAY 5: SUKHOTHAI TO BANGKOK B/L/D Explore the palaces and temples of Sukhothai Historical Park & Sri Satchanalai Historical Park. After dinner, board your overnight sleeper train to Bangkok. DAY 6: BANGKOK B/L/D Arrive in Bangkok early this morning and transfer to your hotel. Later this morning, visit Wat Traimit Temple then wander through Chinatown. DAY 7: BANGKOK B/L/D Journey to a salt and coconut farm and lively Damnoen Saduak Floating Market. Travel to the River Kwai for lunch at a floating restaurant then visit the Bridge over the River Kwai and its World War 2 cemetery before returning to Bangkok. DAY 8: BANGKOK TO SIEM REAP B/D Fly to Siem Reap, Cambodia. On arrival, transfer to your hotel, with the rest of your day at leisure. DAY 9: SIEM REAP B/L/D Enjoy a full-day tour of Angkor Wat , visiting ruins, palaces and the temple of Ta Prohmset amongst the towering trees. DAY 10: SIEM REAP TO BATTAMBANG B/L/D Journey to the city of Battambang where you’ll visit Wat Ek Phnom Temple and two local markets. DAY 11: BATTAMBANG TO PHNOM PENH B/L/D Sample local coffee at a market then explore a Chinese temple and the city’s abandoned train station. Travel to nearby Phnom Sampeau and tour the Killing Caves then continue to Phnom Penh for your overnight stay. DAY 12: PHNOM PENH B/L/D Today’s city tour takes in the Royal Palace, National Museum and Killing Fields of Choeung Ek. DAY 13: PHNOM PENH TO LONG XUYEN B/L/D After a tour of the Tuol Sleng Prison Museum, take a speedboat into Vietnam, disembarking at Chau Doc and transferring to Long Xuyen. DAY 14: LONG XUYEN TO MEKONG CRUISE B/L/D Transfer to Can Tho and board your cruise ship. Sail through the morning then take a shore excursion to a local village before anchoring for the night. DAY 15: MEKONG CRUISE TO SAIGON B/L/D Set sail and explore the canals of the Mekong Delta on a sampan boat or by foot. Disembark and travel to Saigon for your overnight stay. DAY 16: SAIGON B/L/D Explore the Cu Chi Tunnels then visit the War Remnants Museum and Reunification Palace before a walking tour through the city. DAY 17: SAIGON TO THE UK B Transfer to the airport for your return flight to the UK, via Bangkok or continue to your chosen extension.
