DAY 2: PENANG D On arrival, meet your guide and transfer to your hotel. DAY 3: PENANG B/L Embark on a half-day walking tour of Georgetown starting at the floating Chinese water villages. Next, walk along the Street of Harmony to reach The Goddess of Mercy. After lunch, return to the hotel for an afternoon at leisure before a welcome dinner. DAY 4: PENANG B/L This morning, travel to the outskirts of Georgetown, starting at the Penang Batik Factory. Drive past Penang’s fruit plantation, then witness Malaysian markets and paddy fields in the village of Balik Pulau. Marvel at the extravagant 33-metre-long gold-plated reclining Buddha, before an afternoon at leisure. DAY 5: PENANG TO CAMERON HIGHLANDS B/L/D Today, transfer to the Cameron Highlands, dominated by lush tea plantations and enjoy a guided forest walk in one of Malaysia’s most widespread hill stations. DAY 6: CAMERON HIGHLANDS B/L/D Bask in natural splendour and sample a cup of tea at the BOH Tea Plantation, before feasting your eyes on the unparalleled roadside Kea Farm Market. Take a walk down memory lane at the Time Tunnel Museum, then enjoy the gardens at MARDI Agrotechnology Centre. DAY 7: CAMERON HIGHLANDS TO KUALA LUMPUR B/L After breakfast, embark on a scenic train journey to Malaysia’s capital, with the evening free to explore. DAY 8: KUALA LUMPUR B A half-day tour begins gazing 452 metres into the sky at the Petronas Twin Towers, before exploring the Chinatown district. Next, witness the unique design of Parliament House and the National War Memorial monument. Journey onwards to the New Kings Palace before heading to the grand Federal Court. DAY 9: KUALA LUMPUR TO MALACCA B/L En route to Malacca, pass by the solemn Bukit Cina, then continue to the Cheng Hoon Teng Temple. Next, at Baba Nyonya Heritage Museum, witness a collection of restored houses, showcasing the distinctive influences of ancient Chinese settlers. After lunch, continue to Porta De Santiago, the ‘Red Square’, and then finally, visit the 18th century Christ Church. DAY 10: MALACCA TO SINGAPORE B/L This morning, transfer by coach to Singapore and enjoy an afternoon exploring at your own pace. DAY 11: SINGAPORE B From Marina Bay Sands’ Skypark Observation Deck, enjoy breath-taking views before continuing to Merlion Park. Next, dedicated to Mazu, admire carvings on Thian Hock Temple’s extravagant exterior. Later, explore the city’s beautiful Botanical Gardens. DAY 12: SINGAPORE TO KUCHING B This morning, journey to Kuching and enjoy the afternoon at leisure. DAY 13: KUCHING B/L Transfer to Semenggoh Nature Reserve, this sanctuary rescues and nurtures orphaned Orangutans with the intention of releasing them back into the wild. DAY 14: KUCHING TO KOTA KINABALU B Travel to Sabah - Kota Kinabalu, on Borneo’s north west coast and upon arrival, transfer to your hotel. DAY 15: KOTA KINABALU B/D Today embark on a trip to picturesque Manukan Island. DAY 16/17: KOTA KINABALU TO THE UK B Depart for your return flight via Kuala Lumpur to the UK or continue to your chosen extension.
