Day 1: UK to Rio de Janeiro Depart London on your scheduled, overnight flight to Rio de Janeiro, via São Paulo. Day 2: Rio de Janeiro On arrival, you will be met by your local guide and transferred to your hotel. The rest of the day is at leisure to settle in and relax. Day 3: Rio de Janeiro B Dotted with iconic landmarks and stunning natural landscapes, the vivacious and energetic city of Rio de Janeiro has become the soul of Brazil. Experience the continuous samba rhythm that lies at heart of this cosmopolitan city and embark on a captivating half day tour commencing at one of Rio’s most famous icons; standing out against the undulating landscape due to its distinctive resemblance to a refined sugar loaf, soak in breath-taking panoramas from the summit of Sugarloaf Mountain as you feel a fresh breeze sweep across your face. Day 4: Rio de Janeiro B This morning’s city tour follows a scenic route leading towards the imposing Corcovado Mountain in Tijuca Forest, the site of the majestic world- renowned monument - Christ the Redeemer statue. Considered to be the largest art deco statue in the world, the impressive figure standing 30 metres tall and arms stretching 28 metres wide, is a symbol of Brazilian Christianity overlooking and guarding the city below. With an afternoon at leisure, why not discover the city’s lively atmosphere whilst exploring its energetic streets, unwind on the pristine golden sand of Ipanema beach, or uncover the Botanical Gardens. Day 5: Rio de Janeiro to Iguaçu B The morning is free before you take your flight to the Brazilian side of the Iguaçu Falls. On arrival in Iguaçu, you will be transferred to your hotel.
