Day 2: Delhi L/D On arrival, you will be met and transferred to your hotel. Embark on an afternoon tour, commencing at the monumental India Gate. Continue to the Bangla Sahib Sikh Temple and admire its distinctive gilded domes, before observing the Raj Ghat, a modest black marble memorial stone, commemorating the final resting place of Mahatma Gandhi. Day 3: Delhi to Udaipur B/L/D Take in the sights of historic Old Delhi on this morning’s tour, stopping at the ornate mosque of Jama Masjid before a rickshaw carries you through the winding lanes of Chandni Chowk market and past the vermilion walls of the Red Fort. Later, transfer to the airport for your flight to Udaipur. Day 4: Udaipur B/L/D Explore the legacy of Udaipur’s Royals as you visit the City Palace, on the banks of Lake Pichola, the Jagdish temple and the Sahelion Ki Bari gardens. Later, drive around the waters of Fateh Sagar Lake, and explore the city’s bustling old market. An optional excursion later today takes you on a Lake Pichola cruise (at a fee) before tonight’s meal. Day 5: Udaipur to Jodhpur B/L/D Depart Udaipur this morning, travelling towards the world famous Ranakpur Jain temple complex, before continuing onward to Jodhpur for your overnight stay. Arrive in time for an evening walk around the colourful Clock Tower market. Day 6: Jodhpur B/L/D This morning’s tour of Jodhpur takes you to the vast 15th century Mehrangarh Fort. Nearby, explore the white marbled pavilions of Jaswant Thada, before an afternoon at leisure. Day 7: Jodhpur to Jaipur B/L/D Travel to Jaipur where the rest of the day at leisure, or take an optional evening trip to the Birla Temple. Day 8: Jaipur B/L/D In the ‘Pink City’ of Jaipur, make a brief stop at the Hawa Maha, before travelling to the centre of Amber Fort by Jeep, where rugged exterior walls shield a lavishly bejewelled interior. This afternoon, explore another monument of the Maharajas and marvel at a striking blend of Rajasthani and Mughal architecture with a visit to the City Palace. Day 9: Jaipur to Agra B/L/D Depart this morning for Agra. On route, stop at Chand Baori, one of the largest stepwells in the world, constructed during the 8th and 9th century. Day 10: Agra B/L/D Witness India’s most iconic landmark bathed in an early morning glow on a sunrise visit to the spectacular Taj Mahal.
