Day 1: UK to Melbourne Depart the UK on your overnight flight, via Kuala Lumpur. Day 2: Melbourne D On arrival you will be transferred to your hotel. In the evening have a welcome dinner. Day 3: Melbourne B Take a morning tour of Melbourne including Fitzroy Gardens, Royal Botanic Gardens, and the Shrine of Remembrance. After lunch have some free time to relax or explore. Day 4: Melbourne and Phillip Island B/D Head to the pristine white beaches of Phillip Island to visit the Koala Conservation Reserve and witness the ‘Penguin Parade’, at sunset the world’s smallest penguins, the Little Penguins, emerge from the sea and waddle ashore to their sand dune burrows. Day 6: Melbourn to Great Ocean Road B Depart Melbourne for the breath-taking Great Ocean Road, a 250km route of Australia’s windswept coast. Wind through Otway National Park’s vast hinterlands and thundering waterfalls before hitting the coast to see the rock formations of Port Campbell National Park including the 12 Apostles, Loch Ard Gorge and the free-standing natural arch known as London Bridge! Day 7: Great Ocean Road to Adelaide B Enter South Australia on your drive along the Limestone Coast, pass the historic fishing town of Port Fairy and continue to Mount Gambier and Robe before reaching Adelaide. Day 8: Adelaide B Tour this delightful city of parklands and historic buildings and then head out of the city to visit Haigh’s Chocolate factory and stop at the seaside town of Glenelg. Day 9: Adelaide B Take a day at leisure to explore the food and wine capital of Australia or join a day trip to Kangaroo Island or the Barossa Valley, booked locally at an additional cost.
