Day 4: Karongwe to Kruger B/D This morning enjoy a game drive in the reserve before making your way towards Blyde River Canyon and Bourke’s Luck Potholes. This seemingly endless river canyon starts at the confluence of the Blyde and Treur rivers and enjoys the most scenic views in South Africa. Later proceed on to your hotel on the edge of the Kruger National Park. Day 5: Kruger B/D At dawn, embark on a full day game drive in Kruger National Park, one of the largest game reserves in Africa, stretching across almost 19,000 square kilometres. Home to over 12,000 elephants, 27,000 African buffalo and 1,000 leopards, the park is one of the best places to see Africa’s iconic ‘Big Five’. Overall, the Kruger supports 147 free roaming mammal species and over 500 species of birds so make sure you have your camera’s ready! Day 6: Kruger to Swaziland B/D Depart the Kruger by traversing mountain roads into Eswatini, formally known as Swaziland, Africa’s last absolute monarchy and one of its smallest nations. Visit Piggs Peak, a town once made famous for its gold mining situated in an area referred to as the ‘Switzerland of Africa’; due to its beautiful mountainous landscape, sparkling waterfalls and picturesque bushland. This afternoon visit the Matsamo Cultural Park and discover the culture and traditions of the Swazi people before continuing to the King Sobhuza II Memorial Park in Lobamba, one of the nation’s capitals that celebrates the life or the nation’s former King, who led Swaziland to independence in 1968.
