Day 6: Naples and Herculaneum B Drive to the UNESCO listed City of Naples with its array of fine buildings and attractions. A guided tour will take you past the Royal Palace, the Garibaldi and Plebiscito squares, and the renowned San Carlo Opera House. Naples is well known as the place where the margherita pizza was invented and you will have time to search one out before you depart. Later, drive to Herculaneum situated at the foot of mighty Mount Vesuvius. Like Pompeii, Herculaneum was buried under the Vesuvian ash and has on show the best-preserved buildings of the era. Day 7: Sant’Agata sui Due Golfi B Spend your last day at leisure in the village, a great opportunity to enjoy the hotel facilities, get some last-minute souvenirs or visit Sorrento on the local bus. Day 8: Sant’Agata sui Due Golfi to the UK B After breakfast, transfer to the airport for your return flight, stay a few more nights in Sant’Agata or continue on to another extension.
