Varanasi Day 1: UK to Delhi Depart the UK on your overnight flight, via Doha. Day 2: Delhi L/D On arrival in Delhi, you will be met and transferred to your hotel. Embark on a short tour of New Delhi, Driving past the India Gate, President’s House, Parliament Building and visit the Birla Temple. Day 3: Delhi B/L/D Discover Old and New Delhi on a rickshaw tour. Travel past the Red Fort and to the Humayun’s Tomb. Journey to the Gandhi Memorial and to Qutab Minar. Day 4: Delhi to Agra B/L/D Board your morning train to Agra. On arrival, make your way to the Taj Mahal. Continue on to the Agra Fort and explore this vast red sandstone complex. Day 5: Agra to Lucknow B/L/D Today’s scenic train ride takes you to Lucknow. On arrival, spend the afternoon at leisure. Day 6: Lucknow B/L/D After breakfast, visit the Hazratganj Market, the 1857 Memorial Museum, Juma Masjid mosque, Sikander Bagh, and Chota Imambara. Pass the gateway of Rumi Darwaza, Taluqdar Hall, Husainabad Clock Tower and Kaiserbagh Palace. Enjoy Begum Hazrat Mahal Park, Aminabad bazaar and the facade of Chattar Manzil before heading to your hotel. Day 7: Lucknow to Varanasi B/L/D Take a train from to Varanasi and after check-in at your hotel, an evening tour leads to the banks of the sacred Ganges River and If time permits witness the captivating Ganga Aarti ceremony. Day 8: Varanasi to Kathmandu, via Delhi B/L/D Enjoy a morning boat trip on the Ganges, and disembark for a walking tour through old town. Transfer to the airport for your flight to Kathmandu, via Delhi. On arrival, transfer to your hotel. Day 9: Kathmandu B/L/D Today, see the stupa of Swayanbhunath, then travel to Kathmandu Valley to visit Patan and Krishna Temple. Day 10: Kathmandu to Chitwan B/L/D Today, visit Pashupatinath temple, before driving to Chitwan, arriving in time for an afternoon visit to Tharu village. Return to your hotel for dinner and an entertaining Tharu dance. Day 11: Chitwan B/L/D Explore Chitwan National Park and enjoy a canoe ride up the Rapti River and then visit an elephant breeding centre. Day 12: Chitwan to Bandipur B/L/D Depart Chitwan on a scenic journey to Bandipur, stopping en route for lunch. On arrival, check into your hotel and enjoy the rest of the day at leisure. Day 13: Bandipur B/L/D Enjoy a full-day tour of Bandipur exploring its network of winding lanes, traditional Newari architecture and buzzing bazaar. Later, from your lofty vantage point, take in the stunning sunset. Day 14: Bandipur to Kathmandu B/L/D Following breakfast, make your way to Kathmandu. Day 15: Kathmandu to the UK B After breakfast, transfer for your return flight, via Doha, or continue on to your chosen extension.
