Day 4: Rio de Janeiro B This morning’s city tour follows a scenic route leading towards the imposing Corcovado Mountain in Tijuca Forest, the site of the world-renowned monument - Christ the Redeemer statue. Considered to be the largest art deco statue in the world, the impressive figure standing 30 metres tall and arms stretching 28 metres wide, is a symbol of Brazilian Christianity overlooking and guarding the city below. Enjoy an afternoon at leisure. Day 5: Rio de Janeiro to Iguaçu B The morning is free before flying to the Brazilian side of the Iguaçu Falls. On arrival in Iguaçu, you will be transferred to your hotel. Day 6: Iguaçu, Argentinian Side B Declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1984, Iguaçu National Park is home to incredible waterfalls. Beginning today’s tour, explore the routes of the Upper Circuit which offers extraordinary views from the summit of these majestic falls, before experiencing a thrilling closer encounter as you traverse the one-mile trail of the Lower Circuit. Next, feel the intensity and almighty thunder of the infamous Devil’s Throat, a U-shaped section where the largest volume of the falls descends. Day 7: Iguaçu to Buenos Aires B This morning, cross back into Brazil and witness a different perspective as you explore this side of Iguaçu National Park. Located in the centre of this awe-inspiring sight, take in mesmerising views of the grandiose rugged islet of San Martin, and admire three of the most impressive jumps of the falls, before reaching a further viewpoint offering impeccable views of the Devil’s Throat, just 150-metres away. Later this afternoon, fly to Buenos Aires where you will be met and taken to your hotel. Day 8: Buenos Aires B Abounding a rich cultural fabric, the vibrant city of Buenos Aires exudes subtle sophistication. Today’s morning tour starts in the historic Plaza de Mayo. From here, you will see the Casa Rosada government palace and its famous balcony where Eva Peron used to address the people. Later, you’ll reach the colourful neighbourhood of La Boca with its famous street ‘Caminito’ whose architecture reflects the European influence of the late 19th century. After this, head to the modern Palermo neighbourhood, before the district of Recoleta, the most sophisticated neighbourhood in Buenos Aires. Spend the remainder of the afternoon at leisure.
