Day 1: UK to Hanoi, Vietnam Depart the UK on your overnight fight to Hanoi. Day 2: Hanoi D On arrival, you’ll be met and transferred to your hotel where you’ll spend the day at leisure. Later, rejoin your group for dinner. Day 3: Hanoi B/L/D After breakfast, embark on a tour of Hanoi, including Ho Chi Minh’s house-on-stilts; the famous One Pillar Pagoda; and the Presidential Palace. Next, visit the Museum of Ethnology before a street food tour around Hanoi’s Old Quarter. In the evening enjoy a traditional performance of water puppet theatre Day 4: Hanoi and Ha Long Bay B/L/D This morning, transfer for your overnight cruise through Ha Long Bay. Along the way, your boat will be dropping anchor within one of the secluded coves, giving you a chance to take a leisurely swim within one of the hidden grottoes. This evening enjoy a delicious dinner on board your vessel. Day 5: Ha Long Bay and Hanoi B/D Enjoy a fresh breakfast in the middle of the bay with the sun rising in the distance as you slowly meander through the magnificent rock formations. Later in the day, head back to Hanoi. Day 6: Hanoi to Saigon D Today, fly to Saigon and transfer to your hotel. Day 7: Saigon B/L/D After breakfast, you’ll visit the district of Củ Chi, famous for its extensive 75 mile tunnel system which served as the headquarters of the Viet Cong. In the afternoon discover the city of Saigon, beginning with a visit to the War Museum, then the Neo-Romanesque Notre Dame Cathedral, and finish at Ben Thanh Market. Day 8: Saigon B/L/D Today, travel to the Mekong and board a boat to spend the day on the river. After stopping at a coconut plantation and a traditional clay brickworks, continue towards a small rural village where you’ll take a short walk and enjoy some tea with a local family. Next, after taking a short ride through some nearby rice fields and vegetable plantations, you’ll be served lunch at a local house before taking a boat ride to Hùng Vương pier. Day 9: Saigon to Siem Reap, Cambodia B/D Following breakfast, enjoy the morning at leisure before flying to Siem Reap. On arrival, you’ll be met and transferred to your hotel, then enjoy dinner at a local restaurant.
