Day 10: Siem Reap B/L/D After an early breakfast, continuing on to Tonlé Sap, where you’ll have the opportunity to learn about life on the river before boarding a local boat and visiting the charming village of Chong Khneas. In the afternoon, you’ll continue on to Banteay Srei At the end of the day, enjoy the sunset at Pre Rup Temple. Day 11: Siem Reap B/L/D Begin the day watching the sunrise over Angkor Wat. Continuing on to the fortified city of Angkor Thom, you’ll walk the Southern Gate, followed by the Bayon, Baphoun, Phimeanakas and the Elephant Terrace. In the afternoon you’ll see Ta Prohm, then the rest of the day is spent at leisure before enjoying dinner with an Apsara dance performance. Day 12: Siem Reap to Bangkok, Thailand B/D After breakfast and a morning of leisure in Siem Reap, fly on to Bangkok. Day 13: Bangkok B/L This morning, visit some world-famous Buddhist temples across the city. Starting at Wat Trimitr, witness the Golden Buddha, the centrepiece of this remarkable site then visit Wat Po, the largest temple complex in Bangkok. Finally, witness the gleaming Grand Palace. After lunch, travel to Thonburi, known as the ‘Venice of the East.’ Here you’ll glide through the klongs in traditional long-tail wooden boats until reaching the magnificent Wat Arun. Day 14: Bangkok and Ayutthaya B/L Today, travel to the former capital of Ayutthaya which is situated 90 km north of Bangkok. This once buzzing international trading port is filled with the ruins of temples, palaces and shrines that make up the World Heritage-listed Ayutthaya Historical Park. Tour the principal sights, including the gigantic bronze statues of Wat Mongkol Borpith; Wat Phra Srisanpetch; and Wat Yai Chai Mongkol. Day 15: Bangkok to Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia B/D Enjoy breakfast, then spend time at leisure before your flight to Kuala Lumpur. Day 16: Kuala Lumpur B A half day sightseeing tour begins gazing 452 metres into the sky for a photo opportunity of the Petronas Twin Towers. Continue to Kuala Lumpur’s Chinatown district then head to the Parliament House before a poignant visit to the National War Memorial monument. Journey onwards to the New Kings Palace, before heading to the grand Federal Court. Later, enjoy an evening at leisure. Day 17: Kuala Lumpur to Kuching, Borneo B After breakfast, board your flight to Kuching, Borneo, where on arrival you’ll transfer to your hotel then embark on a city tour. Day 18: Kuching B/L After breakfast, enjoy a visit to the Semonggoh Orangutan Centre which is home to a colony of semi-wild orangutans from Borneo. During feeding time, there’ll be a golden opportunity to interact with these magnificent primates as they gracefully swing down from the tree canopies for a free hand out of fruits and treats. In the afternoon you’ll be taken on a relaxing cruise along the Kuching river. Day 19: Kuching B Today you’ll have the chance to experience the delightful Sarawak cultural village, before an afternoon at leisure where you can explore Kuching. Day 20: Kuching to Singapore B Following breakfast, fly to Singapore, where you’ll have some time to relax before your evening meal. Day 21: Singapore B From the dizzying heights of Marina Bay Sands’ futuristic Skypark Observation Deck enjoy breathtaking views of Singapore’s impressive cityscape before continuing to Merlion Park. Visit the Buddha Tooth Relic Temple and Museum located in the China town district of Singapore. Later this afternoon, explore the National Orchid Garden within the city’s beautiful Botanical Gardens. Finally, experience the buzz of Chinatown, winding through teeming market stalls and inhaling aromatic scents. Day 22: Singapore to the UK B Depart for your return flight back to the UK, or continue on to your chosen extension.
