Day 1: UK to Delhi Depart the UK on your overnight flight. Day 2: Delhi L/D After arriving in Delhi, you’ll be met and transferred to your hotel where you will have lunch while enjoying some free time to relax before your welcome evening meal. Day 3: Delhi B/L/D This morning take a tour of the beautiful city of New Delhi, See the contrast between Old Delhi’s historic charms and New Delhi’s detailed colonial town. Travel past the imposing red sandstone exterior of the magnificent Red Fort and through Delhi’s bustling streets to Humayun’s Tomb, an elaborate mausoleum set in beautifully landscaped gardens. Journey onwards to the Mahatma Gandhi Memorial, draped in floral tributes, and the towering minaret and ruins of the ancient Qutab Minar complex. Day 4: Delhi to Agra B/L/D Board your morning train to Agra. On arrival, make your way to the Taj Mahal. Continue on to the Agra Fort and explore this vast red sandstone complex. Day 5: Agra to Lucknow B/L/D Today’s scenic train ride takes you to Lucknow. On arrival, spend the afternoon at leisure. Day 6: Lucknow B/L/D After breakfast, visit the Hazratganj Market, the 1857 Memorial Museum, Juma Masjid mosque, Sikander Bagh, and Chota Imambara. Pass the gateway of Rumi Darwaza, Taluqdar Hall, Husainabad Clock Tower and Kaiserbagh Palace. Enjoy Begum Hazrat Mahal Park, Aminabad bazaar and the facade of Chattar Manzil before heading to your hotel. Day 7: Lucknow to Varanasi B/L/D Take a train from to Varanasi and after check-in at your hotel, an evening tour leads to the banks of the sacred Ganges River and If time permits witness the captivating Ganga Aarti ceremony. Day 8: Varanasi B/L/D Enjoy a morning boat trip on the Ganges, and disembark for a walking tour through old town. Day 9: Varanasi to Kathmandu B/L/D After breakfast, transfer to the airport for your flight to Kathmandu. On arrival, transfer to your hotel. Day 10: Kathmandu B/L/D Today, experience Nepal’s temple-studded capital on a full day of sightseeing. See the majestic stupa of Swayanbhunath, then travel to Kathmandu Valley to visit Patan and Krishna Temple. Day 11: Kathmandu to Chitwan B/L/D Today, visit Pashupatinath Temple, before arriving in Chitwan in time for a visit to Tharu village. Return to your hotel for dinner and an exhibition on Chitwan. Day 12: Chitwan B/L/D Enjoy a full day of animal encounters as you explore the wildlife haven of Chitwan National Park and enjoy a canoe ride up the Rapti River. Day 13: Chitwan to Bandipur B/L/D Depart Chitwan on a scenic journey to Bandipur, visiting the elephant breeding centre in Sauraha en route. On arrival, a tour of Bandipur explores its network of winding lanes and buzzing bazaar. Day 14: Bandipur to Kathmandu B/L/D Following breakfast, make your way to Kathmandu. Day 15: Kathmandu to the UK B After breakfast, transfer for your return flight, or continue on to your chosen extension.
