Day 1: UK to Kathmandu Depart the UK on your overnight flight. Day 2: Kathmandu D On arrival, you be will met and transferred to your hotel, re-joining your group later for a welcome dinner. Day 3: Kathmandu B/L/D Today, embark on a full day of sightseeing, beginning at historic Durbar Square, then on to the Buddhist stupa of Swayanbhunath. After lunch, journey to Patan and explore Krishna Temple. Day 4: Kathmandu B/L/D Enjoy a morning tour of Bhaktapur, visiting Nyatapola, Nepal’s tallest temple, and Bhairav Temple before exploring Pottery Square, the Palace of 55 Windows and the Golden Gate. After lunch, head to the Boudhanath Stupa and Pashupatinath Temple, before dinner and a Nepalese dance show. Day 5: Kathmandu to Pokhara B/L/D After breakfast, transfer to the airport for a flight, arriving in Pokhara for an evening at leisure. Day 6: Pokhara to Syauli Bazaar to Ghandrung B/L/D (Average 2-3 hours of walking including breaks) After breakfast, drive to Syauli Bazaar and trek from Modi River to Kimcha village. After lunch, embark on a steep ascent on stone steps, through paddy fields to reach the village of Ghandrung. Day 7: Ghandrung B/L/D (Average 3-4 hours of walking including breaks) After breakfast, visit Annapurna Conservation Area Project Head Office. From here, see panoramic views of Mount Annapurna South, Hiunchuli, Gangapurna, Machhapuchare, Annapurna III and other snowy mountains. Day 8: Ghandrung to Jhinu Danda B/L/D (Average 4-5 hours of walking including breaks) Follow an undulating trail which ascends and descends towards Jhinu Danda, where you’ll break for lunch then explore the surrounding area on foot. Day 9: Jhinu Danda to Landrung B/L/D (Average 3-4 hours of walking including breaks) Depart Jhinu Danda on today’s trek, descending steeply to some nearby cliffs. Next, cross a suspension bridge which provides superb views of the valley and River Modi. Walk onward as you ascend to the village of Landrung (1,640m). Day 10: Landrung to Dhampus B/L/D (Average 5-6 hours of walking including breaks) Today’s trail takes you past rolling paddy fields on a flat, hour-long walk. After a break, ascend stone steps to Tolka. Enjoy lunch then trek to Pothana village where the trail descends to Dhampus. Day 11: Dhampus to Pokhara B/L/D (Average 2-3 hours of walking including breaks) After a sunrise viewing of the mountain peaks and breakfast, walk to Suikhet Phedi. Depart for Pokhara where you’ll have the afternoon at leisure. Day 12: Pokhara B/L/D Today is at leisure or choose one of two optional excursions (at a fee): A drive to the viewpoint at Sarankot with a walk to the lakeside or a stroll around the lake and a boat ride. Day 13: Pokhara to Kathmandu B/L/D Fly back to Kathmandu in time for dinner. Day 14: Kathmandu to the UK B After breakfast, transfer for your return flight, or continue on to your chosen extension.
