Day 2: Taipei Arrive into Taipei where you’ll meet your local representative and be transferred to your hotel. Day 3: Taipei B/L/D Unveil cultural riches and modern wonders with the cities famous blend of Chinese, Japanese, Southeast Asian and American cultures. Delve into Taiwan culture and history at the National Palace Museum, marvel at the cityscape from Taipei 101’s observatory, and end with tranquillity at Longshan Temple, famous for its unique architecture. Day 4: Taipei to Hualien B/L/D Travel from Taipei to Hualien – known as the ‘Gateway to the Taroko Gorge’. Visit the National Center of Traditional Arts, then indulge at the Kakavlan Whisky Distillery. In the afternoon you’ll tour the charming streets of Hualien City. Day 5: Hualien B/L/D After breakfast experience the lifestyle of the aborigines of Huadong. Learn traditional archery skills and use fresh bamboo from the mountains as utensils to make natural bamboo-flavored rice. After lunch visit the Pine Garden and explore Mambo Park and its War Tunnel. Take a stroll along Qixing Lake, with its elegant arch shape beach, there is a mix of crystal clear sea water and green mountains. Later visit the Dondamen Night Market. Day 6: Hualien to Taitung B/L/D Today you’ll be travelling to Chihpen. On the way, explore the coastal beauty of Shitiping, witness scenic Sanxiantai Beach and Island, and marvel at the unique geological formations at Xiaoyehliu. Day 7: Taitung to Kaohsiung B/L/D Embark on a tour around Longpan Park revealing breathtaking landscapes. The iconic Eluanbi Lighthouse offers panoramic views. Continue to Kaohsiung, home to waterside parks, beaches and forest. Take a stroll along the charming ‘Love River’. Day 9: Kaohsiung to Sun Moon Lake B/L/D En route to Sun Moon Lake, you’ll have the chance to explore historical Anping Fort and the whimsical Anping Tree House in Tainan. Continue on to the stunning landscapes of Sun Moon Lake. The eastern part of the lake is round like the sun, while the west is shaped like a crescent moon. In the middle of the lake (between the ‘sun’ and the ‘moon’) is an island sacred to the Shao people. Day 10: Sun Moon Lake to Taipei B/L/D In the morning visit the spiritual Wen Wu Temple, famous for the Chinese guardian lions at the entrance, and explore the elegant Ci En Pagodas on top of Mount Shabalan. The day will be completed with a private boat tour at tranquil Sun Moon Lake, if you are feeling energetic there is also a bike ride option. Return to Taipei for a relaxing evening.
