Day 2: Melbourne On arrival you will be transferred to your hotel. In the evening have a welcome dinner. Day 3: Melbourne B/D Take a morning tour of Melbourne then travel over the Westgate Bridge, drive along the Grand Prix track and see the Melbourne Cricket Ground, St Paul’s Cathedral, the Arts Centre and Port Phillip Bay. This afternoon is at leisure to relax or explore. Day 4: Melbourne and Phillip Island B/D Head to the pristine white beaches of Phillip Island to visit the Koala Conservation Reserve and witness the ‘Penguin Parade’, as little penguins waddle to their sand dune burrows. Elevated paths allow you an upclose view without disturbing the wildlife. Day 5: Melbourne B With a day at leisure, spend some time exploring this most stylish and fashionable city at your own pace. Day 6: Melbourne to Great Ocean Road B Depart for the breathtaking Great Ocean Road, Australia’s windswept coastal route. Wind through Otway National Park’s vast hinterlands and thundering waterfalls before seeing the famous rock formation of the Twelve Apostles. Day 7: Warrnambool to Adelaide B Enter South Australia and pass through the historic fishing towns of Port Fairy, Mount Gambier and Robe. Day 8: Adelaide B Take a day at leisure to explore this remarkable city at your own pace. Day 9: Adelaide B Today you’ll tour tour delightful city, which is surrounded by parklands with a blend of historic buildings, wide streets, cafes and restaurants. Stop and visit the iconic St Peters Cathedral or the newly developed Adelaide Oval then travel through the city’s east on the way to the Haigh’s Chocolates Visitor Centre for a factory tour and tastings of this famous South Australian chocolate. Day 10: Adelaide to Alice Springs B Take a flight to Alice Springs and join a city tour including the School of Air and the Royal Flying Doctor Service for an insight into life in the outback. Day 11: Alice Springs to UIuru B Today, travel to Uluru (Ayers Rock) through rugged desert. Upon arrival, relax, then travel to Kata Tjuta, and admire the magnificent outback whilst relaxing with canapés and Australian wine as the sun sets. Day 12: Uluru to Cairns B Marvel the 50,000 globes in the desert at Uluru Sunrise & Field of Light before heading to the viewing platform. Enjoy a hot drink as the sun rises over Uluru. After the tour, catch your flight to Cairns. Day 13: Cairns and the Great Barrier Reef B/L After breakfast, set sail aboard the Michaelmas Cay Cruise catamaran to experience the unique reef environment as you enjoy all the included activities. Day 14: Cairns B/L After breakfast board the Kuranda Scenic Railway Heritage Class, sit back and enjoy the scenery. Explore fascinating Kuranda and after lunch, board the Kuranda Skyrail for your return journey to Caravonica Lakes and transfer back to your hotel. Day 15: Cairns B Today is at leisure to enjoy this vibrant city. Day 16: Cairns to Sydney B Fly to Sydney, where you will have time to relax.
