On arrival, you’ll be met and transferred to your hotel. Day 2: Denver to Rapid City B En route to Keystone the tour will make stops at both Cheyenne and the former military and trading outpost of Fort Laramie. Day 3: Rapid City & Mount Rushmore Today begins with a visit to Mount Rushmore, which famously appears in Alfred Hitchcock’s North by Northwest. Continue to Thunderhead Mountain and the Crazy Horse Memorial. This afternoon, tour Badlands National Park, one of the world’s richest fossil beds. Day 4: Rapid City to Buffalo Today, stop en route to Buffalo at the historic gold rush town of Deadwood, before your overnight stay nestled in the foothills of the Big Horn Mountains. Day 5: Buffalo to West Yellowstone Embark on a tour of the Battle of Little Bighorn, then head to West Yellowstone for your overnight stay. Day 6: Yellowstone B Enjoy a full-day tour of Yellowstone National Park, the world’s first ever national park. Full of colourful hot springs, spouting geysers, and bubbling pools, Yellowstone is a wonderland of natural scenery. Retire to your hotel for your overnight stay. Day 7: West Yellowstone to Jackson B After breakfast, drive to Grand Teton National Park which boasts pristine lakes, snow-capped mountains and extraordinary wildlife. Later, travel to the valley town of Jackson Hole. Day 8: Jackson to Salt Lake City B/L Visit Logan Canyon, a canyon that runs through the Bear River Mountains, as you travel to the beautifully vibrant Salt Lake City. Day 9: Salt Lake City B After breakfast at your hotel, enjoy a city tour. You’ll learn about Mormon history and beliefs. Continue on to the Capitol building, with time to explore, thought of as one of the best places in the city. This afternoon is for you to explore at your own pace. Day 10: Salt Lake City to Cortez B Visit Arches National Park, home to over 2,000 natural sandstone arches, before continuing to Cortez, a town that sits alongside ancient Anasazi sites. Day 11: Cortez B Tour Mesa Verde National Park, where the ancestral Pueblo people lived for 700 years in over 600 cliff dwellings carved into the rock face. Day 12: Cortez to Tusayan B After breakfast, begin your journey to Tusayan, stopping en route at the Four Corners Monument, also known as Four Corners Tribal Park. Day 13: Tusayan to Bryce Canyon After breakfast, travel to the Grand Canyon National Park, one of the Seven Natural Wonders of the World. Continue to Bryce Canyon, where you’ll spend the night just outside the national park. Day 14: Bryce Canyon B Marvel at the unique rock amphitheatres and towers of Bryce Canyon.
