DAY 8 ‹ PUNAKHA: Visit the renowned Dochula Pass, offering a stunning 360-degree panorama over the Himalayan mountain range. Explore Chimi Lhakhang in the Punakha valley, a name translating to ‘The Temple of Fertility’, and Punakha Dzong – the ‘Palace of Great Happiness’, arguably the most beautiful building in Bhutan. DAY 9 & 10 ‹ PARO: Rich with scenic beauty, myths, and legends, Paro is home to many of Bhutan’s oldest temples. Visit the ‘Fortress of the Heap of Jewels’, browse artisan markets, and enjoy an optional hike (approx. 5 hours) to the Taktsang Monastery, known as the ‘Tigers Nest’, a sacred cliff-side monastery visited by all Bhutanese at least once in their lifetime.
