DAY 2 & 3 ˜ TORTUGUERO NATIONAL PARK: Travel through Braulio Carrillo National Park to Tortuguero. Enjoy a boat journey through canals, a lodge trail hike, and a safari boat experience. Witness the park’s diverse wildlife, including turtles. Optionally, take a night tour to see nesting sea turtles (July- September). Visit the local village. DAY 4 ˜ POÁS VOLCANO: Journey back through the picturesque canals of Tortuguero and travel to the Alajuela area. Explore Poás Volcano National Park, walking the scenic Cloud Forest trails and admiring the active crater. Continue to La Selva Biological Station, a haven of biodiversity, before arriving in La Fortuna. DAY 5 & 6 ˜ LA FORTUNA & ARENAL VOLCANO: Visit the stunning La Fortuna Waterfall, descending to its base where you can witness the 70-metre cascade plunging into a crystal-clear pool, surrounded by lush jungle. Explore Arenal Volcano National Park, trekking through lava flow areas. The following day, depart La Fortuna for Monteverde journeying across the scenic Lake Arenal. DAY 7 & 8 ˜ MONTEVERDE CLOUD FOREST: Experience the Treetopia Park Skywalk, walking across suspension bridges that provide a unique perspective of the Monteverde Cloud Forest from high above the canopy.
