Day 2: Vienna to Budapest B/L/D An imperial cityscape announces your arrival in Austria’s regal capital this morning. Enjoy an afternoon at leisure, or alternatively, explore the ‘City of Music’ from a unique perspective during a backstage tour of Vienna’s majestic Konzerthaus concert hall (optional). Considered one of the most important institutions in international musical life, the Konzerthaus houses a diverse range of programs, embracing both traditional performances and new developments. Later today, having savoured a delicious pastry and cup of Vienna Coffee, return to your ship for dinner and a lively evening of dancing whilst sailing towards Budapest. Day 3: Budapest B/L/D Discover an architectural treasure trove on this afternoon’s tour of astonishing Budapest, a city cut in half by the Danube. Incorporating a visit to the Great Market Hall, a stunning neo-gothic building whose roof was restored to have colourful Zsolnay tiling from Pécs; wander through a bustling hive of activity, where varied market stalls retail fresh produce, aromatic spices and local wines. Following time at leisure, enjoy a Hungarian feast and traditional folk entertainment on board. This evening, begin cruising towards Bratislava. Day 4: Budapest to Bratislava B/L/D Trace the river’s winding path into the capital of Slovakia this afternoon, meandering through the cobbled streets and compact squares of Bratislava on an (optional) guided tour. Oozing old- world charm, admire the city’s contrasting gothic structures and Communist-era buildings which brush the banks of the Danube, before tonight’s gala dinner onboard your ship. Day 5: Vienna to the UK B Returning to Vienna this morning, savour a buffet breakfast before you transfer for your return flight, or continue on to your chosen extension.
