European and Worldwide Holidays 2020 - 2021
8 Sliema, St Julian's and Paceville Together this trio of resorts make up the biggest and most varied entertainment centre in Malta. Sliema has developed into a fashionable resort with a stunning promenade. St Julian's lies north of Sliema and blends its fishing village charm with a bustling tourist centre, while Paceville has the largest concentration of nightlife. Valletta A fortified city, a previous Capital of Culture and UNESCO World Heritage Site, Valletta offers a wealth of history and cultural attractions and a stunning skyline. Mellieha, Marfa and North-West Coast Some of Malta’s best sandy beaches are located in the north-west. Mellieha Bay is probably the finest of them all. At the extreme north-west of Malta is Marfa Ridge, which overlooks Ramla and Paradise Bays. St Paul’s Bay, Bugibba and Qawra The twin resorts of St Paul’s Bay and Bugibba have become increasingly popular in recent years, along with the quieter area of Qawra. Bugibba is a thriving resort with a wide selection of entertainment. The town of St Paul’s Bay is quieter than Bugibba and the old town retains a traditional charm. Qawra is slightly more laid back, with a narrow shingle beach and a selection of shops, bars and restaurants. Comino Situated between Malta and Gozo, the tiny island of Comino has a single hotel, a relaxing traffic-free environment and some of the best swimming in the Mediterranean. Gozo Malta’s smaller sister island of Gozo enjoys a more pastoral character. The coastline is populated by small fishing villages with brightly painted boats. RESORTS M A L T A & G O Z O Blue Lagoon, Comino The Maltese islands are warm and welcoming, with their rich culture of fascinating myths and legends. Walk the traditional streets, enjoy the Mediterranean climate and unwind by the blue seas. It is no wonder that Malta and Gozo have established themselves as firm favourites for holidaymakers year round.
