Day 1: UK to Seoul Depart the UK on your scheduled, overnight flight. Day 2: Seoul L/D On arrival, you will be met for a short city tour, including the Changing of the Palace guard, before enjoying a welcome dinner at a local restaurant. Day 3: Seoul B/L/D Embark on a tour of South Korea’s Demilitarized Zone (DMZ). Visit Dorasan train station and the Dorasan Observatory. Explore the 3rd Infiltration Tunnel, and view the heavily guarded Bridge of Freedom. After lunch, visit Changdeokgung Palace before continuing to the N. Seoul Tower. Day 4: Seoul B/L/D Start at Insadong Antique Street, before travelling to the Kimchi Museum. Stop at the Buddhist temple of Jogyesa then continue to Bukchon Hanok Village and Gwangȭang Food Market. Day 5: Seoul to Busan B/L/D This morning, transfer by metro to the train station for your high-speed train to Busan. On arrival, set out on a coach tour stopping at Gamcheon Cultural Village. Next, pay your respects at the UN Memorial Cemetery then visit APEC Nurimaru Park and Haeundae Beach. Head to Haedong Yonggungsa temple, before check-in at your hotel. Day ͺ: Busan to Gyeongȭu B/L/D After breakfast, embark on a morning tour, moving between sights by metro. Wander through bustling Jagalchi Fish Market and haggle with the hawkers of Kukje Market. Visit nearby BIFF Square, and continue on to Busan Tower. Next, transfer to the train station for your rail journey to Gyeongȭu. On arrival, enjoy dinner and a night-time tour of Anapji. Day ͻ: Gyeongȭu B/L/D A full-day tour of Gyeongȭu takes in the major sites. Journey from the immense Buddha statue in Seokguram Grotto to UNESCO-listed Bulguksa Temple. For lunch, visit a Korean cooking school and learn how to make Korea’s beef barbeque. Continue onward to the age-old observatory of Cheomseongdae before heading to Tumuli Park and Gyeongȭu National Museum. Day ͼ: Gyeongȭu to Andong B/L/D Transfer to the train station for your train to Andong. On arrival, journey to Hahoe Village and the Hahoe Mask Museum. Soak in sweeping views from nearby Buyongdae Cliff then visit the local market. Transfer to your hotel for dinner. Day ͽ: Andong to Seoul B/L/D Depart Andong this morning and travel by coach to Poonggi where you’ll visit the city’s ginseng plantation. Journey onward to Daegang Makgeolli Brewery in Danyang. Continue on to Seoul, where a night of entertainment awaits. Re-join your group for a farewell dinner and a trip to see a ‘Nanta’ theatrical performance. Day 10: Seoul B Enjoy a day at leisure to explore at your own pace. Day 11: Seoul to the UK B After breakfast, transfer for your return flight or continue on to your chosen extension. N. Seoul Tower.
