Day 1: UK to Saigon Depart the UK on your scheduled, overnight flight. Day 2: Saigon D On arrival in Saigon, you will be met by your local guide and transferred to your hotel. Relax in the afternoon before enjoying a welcome dinner at a local Vietnamese restaurant. Day 3: Saigon B/L/D After breakfast, travel to the Cu Chi Tunnels, an impressive hand-dug network of underground passageways used during the Vietnam War. Pass through a traditional rice paper-making village before lunch, then start your afternoon tour at the historically symbolic Reunification Palace. Continue to the enchanting Neo-Romanesque Notre Dame Cathedral. Later, travel past the grand, French-style Saigon Post Office. Day 4: Saigon to Can Tho B/L/D In the morning drive to My Tho and board your boat to cruise along the picturesque Mekong River to Unicorn Island, where a visual feast of exotic fruits awaits. Later, arriving at a bee farm, taste the traditional honey tea, and meander along the Vam Chua Canal. Continue to Can Tho. Day 5: Can Tho to Hanoi B/L/D Your morning will begin with a gentle boat trip through the scenic canals. Stop to witness the Mekong largest floating market, Cai Rang, a sight to behold where a bustling cluster of merchants compete with each other to sell fresh produce to local traders and tourists. After lunch, transfer for your flight to Hanoi. Day 6: Hanoi B/L/D A full-day tour begins at the ancient Temple of Literature, followed by a visit to the ornate Presidential Palace. Next, observe the iconic One Pillar Pagoda, before taking a short drive to take part in a local authentic cooking demonstration. Conclude today’s walking tour at the Old Quarter, before an evening at a Water Puppet Show. Day 7: Hanoi to Ha Long Bay B/L/D Today’s begins your cruise along the awe- inspiring Ha Long Bay. Embark on a small rowing boat for a tour of Vung Vieng, before anchoring at Ho Dong Tien. Enjoy a Vietnamese cooking demonstration, before a seafood dinner. Day 8: Ha Long Bay to Hanoi BR/D Awake to the glistening waters of Ha Long Bay, before enjoying some Tai Chi. Later, snake through the bay’s towering limestone islands and travel back to Hanoi for dinner and overnight stay.
