Kenyan Adventure Day 1: Dinner Upon arrival into Mombasa, meet your tour guides and transfer to the Sarova White Sands Resort. Overlooking one of the longest stretches of white sandy beaches in Kenya and boasting incredible views of the Indian Ocean, spend the rest of the day relaxing in this tranquil paradise, before a delicious meal & overnight stay. Day 2: Breakfast and Dinner After an early breakfast, journey towards Tsavo National Park. Climbing steadily along the main highway, watch as the vast grasslands of Tsavo and the undulating Taita Hills begin to emerge across the horizon, a true vision of authentic Kenya. Reaching Buchuma Gate at the entrance of Tsavo East National Park, the largest National Park in Kenya, feel the wind in your hair as you stand up in the open-topped bus to marvel at panoramic views across this expansive and stunning landscape. Arriving in time for a hearty lunch, enjoy some time at leisure before this afternoon’s adventure, darting across the park’s savannah plains, searching for roaming lions, black rhino and cape buffalo in their natural habitat. Bask in a golden glow as you return to Aruba lodge as the sun begins to set over the imposing mountain range and enjoy dinner this evening and overnight stay. Day 3: Breakfast and Dinner Listening out for the serene echoes of wandering wildlife and rustling leaves which flutter in with the fresh breeze, observe the park’s inhabitants stirring from their sleep on an early morning game drive, before returning to the lodge for breakfast. Depart for Taita Hills Sanctuary, participating in a thrilling game viewing along the rugged route, and upon arrival, enjoy a tasty lunch at Salt Lick Lodge. Thriving with an enormous and varied selection of birds and mammals, the sanctuary’s relatively small size allows numerous opportunities to spot Lions, Cheetahs and Elephants on an exciting afternoon game drive across savannah plains and open pastures, in the dramatic and captivating shadows of the nearby towering mountain range. Return to Salt Lick Lodge for tonight’s meal and uncover the underground hide for a closer encounter of local wildlife who gather at its adjacent watering hole. Optional activity: Enjoy an hour-long game drive under the glistening stars in the night sky on an evening game drive for the chance to spot nocturnal animals amongst other wildlife settling down for the night. Day 4: Breakfast and Dinner birds soaring overhead and the soft murmur of the wilderness rising from their sleep on an early morning game drive, returning to camp for a replenishing breakfast. Afterwards, head towards Taita Hills and enjoy a tasty lunch before zigzagging over uneven terrain and vast plains on an afternoon game drive in Taita Hills Sanctuary, a haven for Leopards, Zebra and Lion. After returning to Sarova Salt Lick Lodge for tonight’s meal, set out on an additional evening game drive for the chance to spot nocturnal wildlife under the warm glow of moonlight. Then return to Sarova Salt Lick Lodge for your overnight stay. Day 5: Breakfast Savour the astonishing scenery this morning on a final game drive, taking you into the depths of the sanctuary for another opportunity to soak in the captivating views and enchanting wildlife, returning for lunch. Continue onward towards Mombasa, journeying through the heart of this coastal city, catching a glimpse of its swarming port and crystal-clear Indian Ocean waters en-route to your final hotel.
