Discover what you’ll experience: DAY 1 - UK TO JAKARTA: Depart the UK on your overnight flight to Jakarta. DAY 2 & 3 - JAKARTA: Embark on a full day tour of Indonesia’s vibrant, chaotic capital: visit the Merdeka Palace, Istiqlal Mosque, and Jakarta Cathedral, as well as Fatahillah Old Town Square and Sunda Kelapa Old Harbour. DAY 4-6 - YOGYAKARTA: Enjoy a scenic train journey to Yogyakarta through lush local plantations and expansive rice fields. Renowned as the soul of Java, discover Yogyakarta with visits to the Sultan’s Palace, Taman Sari Water Castle, and the UNESCO- listed Prambanan Temple. On Day 6, explore Borobudur Temple, lost for nine centuries after a volcanic eruption enveloped it in ash. Experience local life with a horse cart ride through Candirejo village. DAY 7 – SOLO, JAVA: Stop at Candi Sukuh Temple. On arrival in Solo visit the Mangkunegaran Palace, Pasar Triwindhu - idea for antiques - and Tjolomadoe Sugar Factory Museum. DAY 8-10 - UBUD, BALI: Take a walking tour of Ubud, the ‘spiritual heart’ of Bali. Visit the Ubud Monkey Forest Sanctuary, inhabited by a group of over 1260 long-tailed macaques, and Ubud Palace and Market. Relax at a local spa before exploring Tabanan district by open-top Volkswagen. See Taman Ayun Temple and the Jatiluwih Rice Terraces, the largest in Bali. Continue to the Ulun Danu Temple, a floating temple on the surface of Lake Beratan. DAY 11 & 12 - KOMODO ISLAND: Fly to Flores before a boat ride to Komodo Island, home to the largest lizard in the world. Reaching lengths of up to 3.5 meters, Komodo Dragons can be viewed safely with the guidance of expert local rangers. Stop at Kanawa and Kelor Islands for swimming and snorkelling. DAY 13-15 - SANUR, BALI: Relax on the beaches of Sanur, where you can soak up the sun or explore the vibrant local town. Visit Puri Luhur Uluwatu, a clifftop temple home to a colony of monkeys, and enjoy a Kecak dance performance. DAY 16 & 17 - SANUR TO THE UK: Transfer to the airport for your flight home.
