Discover what you’ll experience: DAY 1 - UK TO LIMA: Depart the UK on your flight to Lima. DAY 2 & 3 - LIMA: Begin your adventure with a tour of Lima’s historic downtown, visiting the Cathedral, Government Palace, and City Hall, plus the beautiful Santo Domingo Convent. Browse the bustling shops of Miraflores. DAY 4 - AREQUIPA: Fly to Arequipa, where Spanish-influenced architecture stands in contrast against a mist-veiled volcano. Explore the Church of the Society of Jesus, America’s Sistine Chapel, San Ignacio Dome, and Santa Catalina Convent, before wandering the neighbourhoods of Cayma and Yanahuara. DAY 5-8 - COLCA VALLEY, PUNO & CUSCO: Discover the open plains of Pampa Canaguas and Salinas, where you’ll spot llamas, alpacas, and guanacos in the wild. From Patapampa, admire stunning volcano views. An early start on Day 6 brings you to the Colca Canyon, one of the world’s deepest canyons and home to majestic condors. Travel to Puno and sail across Lake Titicaca, the highest, largest navigable lake on Earth. Admire panoramic views from Taquile Island, nestled in the lake’s blue waters, before taking a 'coca tea' break and meeting local families who live on the lake’s reed islands. En route to Cusco, admire Andean landscapes at La Raya pass, visit the Raqchi Ruins, and explore Andahuaylillas village. DAY 9 - THE SACRED VALLEY: Head to the Sacred Valley of the Incas, Urubamba, location of the imposing Ollantaytambo fortress. Visit a camelid compound and the colourful Pisac market, where locals sell handmade wares. DAY 10 - CUSCO: Visit Machu Picchu, one of the New Seven Wonders of the World. After a train ride to Aguas Calientes, marvel at breathtaking views of one of the ancient Incan civilisation’s greatest achievements. Return to Cusco. DAY 11 - CUSCO & LIMA: Explore Cusco, including the ‘Temple of the Sun’, Plaza de Armas, and cathedral, with its elaborate carved woodwork. Continue to the Inca fortress of Sacsayhuaman, underground cave of Kenko, and fortress of Puca Pucara, before visiting a workshop where craftsmen create silver pieces and wood carvings.
